GETTING WALES MOVING
DELIVERING ON THE WELL-BEING OF FUTURE GENERATIONS ACT
15TH FEBRUARY 2018
HILTON CARDIFF HOTEL
Why Sports Media Group in association with ICON Training are proud to the much anticipated Getting Wales Moving Conference to be held at the Hilton hotel, Cardiff, on the 15th February 2018.
This conference aims to provide some of the answers on the development of current agendas and strategies whilst monitoring the progress of the Welsh Government’s overall plans and sports ambitions to increase participation in sport and physical activity across the country. The conference will provide a platform to debate and share knowledge whilst focussing on a more proactive approach to change through balancing the supply and demand for skills and resource across our communities. It is vitally important that we share our plans whilst learning from other nations and sectors as well as demonstrating the impact on the Well Being of Future Generations Act and wider Government’s priorities.
The conference will also stimulate debate on the need for change from the leaders of policy, governing bodies, commissioners, academics and practitioners. How can we position 21st century sport and activity so it inspires the younger generations and becomes a habit of a lifetime? Where can people go for information, advice and guidance? How can the brightest minds and committed individuals across the sector develop a cohesive relationship that creates a platform for growth?
In taking this work forward, we will also explore examples from both within and beyond the sector around skills, employment and apprenticeships, careers and mentoring and how this can lead to both short term impact and long term gain for all.
This conference is a must attend for all those working in sport and physical activity across the country as well as those who feel they can accelerate the plans and performance of their institutions in order to create a swell of physical activity across our towns and communities.
